My name is Ingrid, and one of my childhood nicknames was Ingipingi. After a fulfilling career in IT, I am living my dreamlife in the South of France while developing my passion for sewing. Many clothing and household items can be repaired or reused to make something new, and my goal is to help extend the lifespan of these cherished things. Have a look at some of my creations.

You might also like to know that I am an identical twin and married to an identical twin. I am blessed with a beautiful daughter and granddaughter who live in Cornwall. I was born in Cape Town and worked in the photographic industry while running a market-stall business. In 1986 I left South Africa and, after a short time in Scotland, moved to England where I lived for nine years before moving to Amsterdam in 1994. Now, following a fulfilling career in Technology, I am living a more peaceful and sustainable lifestyle while developing my passion for sewing. In May 2023 Jens and I moved to Cessenon-sur-Orb to follow our dreams. I speak fluent English and Dutch, and I am learning French.

Je m’appelle Ingrid, et l’un de mes surnoms d’enfance était Ingipingi. Après une carrière enrichissante dans l’informatique, je vis ma vie de rêve dans le sud de la France tout en développant ma passion pour la couture. De nombreux vêtements et articles ménagers peuvent être réparés ou réutilisés pour faire quelque chose de nouveau, et mon objectif est d’aider à prolonger la durée de vie de ces choses chéries. Vous voudrez peut-être aussi savoir que je suis un jumeau identique et marié à un jumeau identique. J’ai la chance d’avoir une belle fille et une petite-fille qui vivent à Cornouailles. Je suis né au Cap et j’ai travaillé dans l’industrie photographique tout en gérant une entreprise de stands de marché. En 1986, j’ai quitté l’Afrique du Sud et, après un court séjour en Écosse, j’ai déménagé en Angleterre où j’ai vécu neuf ans avant de m’installer à Amsterdam en 1994. Maintenant, après une carrière enrichissante dans la technologie, je vis une vie plus pacifique et durable…
